Quote Power required: 15 Kw ? 16 A ? 5 poles. Max. roasting capacity: 2 Kg. Strange that it requires so much power for 2kg. |

I agree, and looking at one of the charts we have based on quite a few other commercial builds, it seems to be more than double the norm. https://homeroast...post_41645 1/2 lb and 1 lb drum, Siemens Sirocco fluidbed, presspot, chemex, cajun biggin brewer from the backwoods of Louisiana

This build is of interest for me as a method of agitation, nothing else. I see this built as a closed oven, full of hot air provided by other methods, for example the floor could be a TO, why not... or circular heaters in the walls... and the central jet using the same air as in the rest of the oven, recirculated and pumped under pressure for beans ejecting, but not heated separately. |

There are a few novel things in this machine... albeit not the spouting action. The shield that blocks beans from being ejected into the chaff collector, an interesting charge hopper that swivels over a charge port, and the unique bottom roast chamber drop feature, which are not common on fluid bed roasters. I'm not sure, but this seems to be an early video of first small scale prototypes for their roasters. |
