Blending SO Beans Before Roasting
I just bought a Gene Café roaster and am enjoying experimenting with it. If possible, I would like to come up with a straight forward procedure that would allow me to roast my favorite blend of beans in the simplest manner possible. More specifically, I would like to be able to roast a blend of SO beans any time I want (or need) to, with the least amount of manipulation of the controls on the roaster. I would like to know how many of you have tried pre-blending your roasts, how satisfied you are with the results, and what advice you might offer based on your experiences. Ciel

Member Poll
Are you open to trying new beans or are you roasting only one or two regions?

I try anything.

For me only a few favorites.

While I try new greens I go right back to my favor

I have to re-learn my roast profiles since moving to my new house. The wiring is modern and I have to back off on the power.
