Where to buy good Roasted Coffee north of Boston, MA
PeteH
I have a friend who lives in Tyngsboro, MA, which is a half hour or so northwest of Boston who is wanting to find a reputable roaster to buy roasted beans from in her area or not too far away. I haven't got her started in Homeroasting yet but maybe someday.

Any help would be appreciated and I'll send her a link to this thread.

Thanks...... Pete

I think one of the finest roasters in the US is Geo Howell at Terroir Coffees, right up the road from her/him in Acton, Mass.

http://www.terroi...

One problem: Once they have had Terroir's, it is mostly down hill from there.

You're right Chad but I'm not wanting to get into roasting for others on much of a scale. I have a neighbor that I give some to once in awhile when she complains enough about Grocery store coffee.

Maybe if I needed the money more than I dohomeroasters.org/php/images/smiley/trink33.gif

Seconded. George Howell gets his hands on some excellent coffees, and his roasters are outstanding. He's a pretty nice fellow, too--had the chance to chat with him via email a few times. His coffees are worth every penny, and I still buy them from time to time.
