Thanks for the addition to the group. Seriously considering building a drum roaster along the lines of oldgrumpus's. Love the design and craftsmanship.

How big are those cups
When we have Greek/Turkish coffee and that is sometimes on a daily basis we use demitasse cups

Demitasse cups normally hold 2oz to 3oz depending on the brand
and the top 1/4 of the cup is traditionally crema when poured.

Not these cups!!! Why settle for 3 oz when you can have 6? ;)
Koffee Kosmo
The normal coffee to water ratio is 1 heaped teaspoon per 3 oz cup
So for a 6 oz cup you will need to double the coffee
But dont put any more brew water than the cup can hold or the coffee will be diluted

I have no problems with that as long as the ratio is correct

I suppose you could call that a double Turkish Grin

Turkish coffee is traditionally meant for smaller cups. Personally I don't bother with that tradition though. My main ibrik is a six cup. When I am in the mood for it or out camping I just pour it into the cup I will be drinking from. If I am making it for six people I actually use the demitasse cups.

If you get a hankerin for Turkish coffee alone why not just make it happen!

I'm in Montana, you come here and try to shop for the proper coffee accessories :). I'm glad everyone on here likes Turkish coffee, apparently no one likes muffins Grin.

What muffins? I only see Turkish coffee. I am roasting some Yemeni Sharasi. Guess how I will prep this next Saturday.

I have been drinking Greek/Turkish coffee for 40 years and it always tastes best with very crumbly shortbread biscuits that are also normally sprinkled with icing sugar
