My favourite blend for milk based espresso coffees is a 50/50 mix of Nicaragua High Grown Bold & PNG Wahgi AA Both roasted to a rolling second crack city roast It was discovered by accident when I was desperate for a coffee and not enough beans (I normally drink single origin coffees) I had equal but a small quantity of both beans so I poured them in a bowl to mix them and proceeded to grind and pour a much needed shot The chocolate mouth feel lingers for about 20 minutes and everyone that has a cup of this blend asks for seconds In the future if those 2 beans come up to purchase I will be definately stocking up on them Now when I saw EddieDove's shout regarding roasting Nicaragua coffee I just had to mention this story Koffee Kosmo ![]() Edited by Koffee Kosmo on 01/10/2009 9:54 PM I home roast and I like it. Here's mine. After trying 25 different recipes this is the one that produced dark chocolate flavors. Recipe in parts by weight. 300 Brazilian YB 100 Yemen Mokha 100 Java or Sumatran 50 Monsooned Malabar (give it a funky extra dark chocolate flavor) Roasted to Full City + or Vienna Makes a great Americano, too. editted to correct recipe.
