I have been trying Scott Rao Hario V60 pourover this week. 1:17 and blooming with 2 parts water the first 45 seconds then splitting the rest into 2 pours. A little stirring is included. We like it.

My brew ratio is 1:17 (exactly 59.5 g/L). That's roughly 8.5g per 5-oz cup.

I'm looking to hire someone to teach/help me to find the best roast profile for the 3 types of coffee that grow on my farm in nicaragua. I live in LA, but but could go anywhere in so cal with my Behmor for a roasting lesson. Please contact me if you're in

When your wife thinks 30 grams for a 6 cup setting is strong, you learn to drink muddy water when you are making coffee for both of you.

I use a rule of thumb of 60 grams per liter. 8 cups (1 liter, 32 oz) = 60 grams, 6 cups (3/4 liter, 24 oz) = 45 grams. 10 cups = 75 grams 12 cups = 90 grams

My Favourite Blend
Koffee Kosmo
My favourite blend for milk based espresso coffees is a 50/50 mix of
Nicaragua High Grown Bold & PNG Wahgi AA

Both roasted to a rolling second crack city roast
It was discovered by accident when I was desperate for a coffee and not enough beans (I normally drink single origin coffees)

I had equal but a small quantity of both beans so I poured them in a bowl to mix them and proceeded to grind and pour a much needed shot

The chocolate mouth feel lingers for about 20 minutes and everyone that has a cup of this blend asks for seconds

In the future if those 2 beans come up to purchase I will be definately stocking up on them

Now when I saw EddieDove's shout regarding roasting Nicaragua coffee
I just had to mention this story

Here's mine. After trying 25 different recipes this is the one that produced dark chocolate flavors. Recipe in parts by weight.

300 Brazilian YB
100 Yemen Mokha
100 Java or Sumatran
50 Monsooned Malabar (give it a funky extra dark chocolate flavor)

Roasted to Full City + or Vienna

Makes a great Americano, too.

editted to correct recipe.

Yes.

I will toss the M2 into the next blend I try for Ms. Silvia. Thanks.
