Does anyone know where to get Funnels? Ideally Aluminum, but SS or regular Steel would be fine. Price and dimensions are very important. Thickness doesn't really matter just as long as it's not flimsy. |----| 6" to 8" upper diameter |----| -\--/ 2" to 3" lower opening CHAD Roaster: CoffeeAir II 2# DIY air roaster

I've been looking for exactly that. I will report if when find something, or a high quality and economical fabrication technique. Pop riveted is super easy, and I'd be happy to send you .DXF drawings to match whatever dimensions you need. |

I was hoping to find a 6" x 2.5" aluminum pipe reducer (if there is such a thing) for cheap. I've made several with aluminum flashing, but wanted one with just a bit more structural oomph. "best" I've found so far are 6" canning funnels, but that's not exactly the shape I'd hoped for. -->6" CANNING FUNNEL<-- CHAD

McMaster-Carr has a good selection of funnels in various materials as well as pipe adapter/reducers. Use their good search tool.

You might could fold your aluminum over double thickness ala dixie cup for increased stiffness. All the stress is on the large diameter edge. Double the thickness octuples the stiffness. |

Try this one at $8.99 Smaller than what you want? May need to rework the size of the exit or see if others are available http://www.spirit...tstfu.html For Industrial type funnels try here http://www.newpig..._-1_106089 KK Edited by Koffee Kosmo on 04/17/2009 6:10 AM I home roast and I like it.
