FR8 Fan Speed adjustment.
ahedges
A few here suggested that my roasts may be a little fast and would have better flavor development if i adjusted the fan speed. I found the instructions and they look fairly simple but I just wanted to make sure that i need to INCREASE the fan speed to slow the roast down. Another question: Could I possibly increase the speed too much and end up having stalled roasts or should I just crank it as much as possible?

John Despres
Andrew, yes, increase the fan speed to slow down the roast. I cranked mine as far as it could go, I think, and it's still a fast roast. If I remember correctly, I slowed it down about 3 minutes... maybe it was just 2...

If you don't like the change, you can always restore. Make a pencil mark on the wiring where the clamp currently sits. Also be sure to make alignments marks on the two parts before you separate the body sections. This makes it very easy to reassemble.

As fast as my FR8 roasted before I adjusted it, I seriously doubt you can stall a roast in one. I do know you can burn a roast in one! LOL
