The Secret of Burger King's BJ Joe Coffee. (Douwe Egberts)

BK Joe is amazing coffee.

I suggest that you try it before they switch over to Seattle's Best or another brand of ground coffee.

Visit Click Here (www.douweegbertscoffeesystems.com)

to see what Douwe Egberts does to make their coffee concentrate.

The last time I saw their machine was in the Chicago Hilton's kitchen.

It was a $20,000 coffee machine that could turn out 250 cups of great coffee in seconds.

I roast a darn good cup of coffee, but in no way can I compete with Douwe Egberts.

The Dutch process tobacco and coffee like no one else in the world.

I would like to hear from those who tasted BK Joe.

I have been home roasting for about 3 years and I can make a very good cup using the upside down Aeropress and a synthetic filter.

If I had BK Joe at home I would not roast.

Stu (good to see you hanging out here, buy the way), I usually omit the coffee at Burger King, but we do frequent the place. I'll make an attempt next visit to try the coffee.

I know they have 3? levels of strength... which do you recommend?

Thanks,

First, be sure that it is the same coffee. Ask the manager.

In my area, BK's have only Regular and a cow that had an abortion (De-calfinated).

I would go for the strongest.

Also, please try a 'latte' style with about 4 h&h and a little sugar.

Outstanding!

(I wonder if the Douwe Egberts factory adds sweetener?)

On the way out, refill your cup and take it home.

I can make 2 more "lattes" out of it.

BTW BK offers senior discounts for coffee and for drinks.

Hey Stu, good to hear from you. I recall about 10 years ago, the local BK operator had some of those machines - it really was tasty. I haven't tried them recently.

Due to a mason jar coffee accident this morning at home, my coffee prep time disappeared, so I had an opportunity to BK Joe it.

Tastes just OK. Better than Flogers. Not as good as the El Salvador I would've prepared. There's a phony chocolate taste, like the previous drink poured through the apparatus was hot chocolate. In emergencies, it's fine. I'd have preferred Dunkin Donuts, but nothing else.

Douwe Egberts is owned by Sara Lee. When I worked form them we could drink it for free, not bad for free. Also I think when I was on the cruise ship there was some kind of coffee extract similar to this.
