Well, the Northeast HUGS group has gone unrepresented long enough. I am about as far North and East as one can go and still be in the US, but if anyone is interested in a coffee swap, roaster discussion, cupping or other coffee-related activity, let me know.

Hi Mike, I used to live in MA near Boston, and we usually get back there to camp in Gloucester for the summer. Sounds like you live a lot closer to me there than now when I am in AZ.
It would be great to get together this summer and do some roasting.
Maybe others from this area will notice and we can have a North East Group Meeting get together.
Cheers,
Peterc:3

That would be cool, Peter. I hope to have a larger capacity roaster working this spring. I know we've talked about one like yours, but I'm really leaning towards the gas grill conversion for large batch and resistance to cold weather.

hi guys~ I am in southern Vermont--Bennington-- and would love the chance to meet up with real coffee lovers and experiment with fun stuff.... ;)

Cool, I will be in Gloucester, MA in July and August.
Compared to Arizona, Maine and Vermont are just down the road a piece ;)

i will likely be around on and off both months----if vermont is a good meeting place i am cool with having people meet at my house---although i don't have any great equipment to boast.......so i t might not be the best.Shock

I'm in the Upper Valley area (that's on the New Hampshire/Vermont border at the junction of I-89 and I-91 near Hanover, NH and White River Junction, VT). I'd be interested in a coffee get together sometime...

Brett,

Rumney is about 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hrs away, depending on how bad RT 118 has gotten. It's NorthEast from me, closer to the White Mountains.

Marc, went to the 4x4 Expo in Essex Jct. weekend before last. Came home the long way, thru WRJ (wanted to show the family the Queeche Gorge), then up the Kancamangus--probably went right by you!

I'll admit I haven't done much (any) roasting this summer, but will get going again soon. A Northeast meeting would be cool.

Hey Guys,

I'm in the Northeast as well. Southern Maine. A coffee get together would be cool!

Hi, I'm a new roaster in North East PA. Just getting started and wanted to say hi.

TUS172
My Primary interest is where I can get Green Beans at a low price... I mean we live close to the eastern seaboard, one would think that we could get great beans at low prices but I am having a problem finding one willing to sell what I want at reasonable prices(FOR Me). I roast alot of coffee for a home roaster lat year it hit almost 300 lbs. This year that will go down substantially because of job changes.

Anyone in the NE have any good sources?
TUS:)

lisabeeen
hi TUS~wow--that is a lot of beans!
I also would be interested in waht you discover.....and am curious where in VT you are...i am in Bennington.........

marc_NH
TUS,

I don't know if this will help:

http://www.greencoffeebuyingclub.com/

also, have you tried local roasters:

http://www.lucidcafe.com/cafebystate/vtforum.html
http://www.lucidcafe.com/cafebystate/nhforum.html
In NH there is: http://www.blackbearcoffee.com/

I haven't used any of these resouces since I don't consume quite as much coffee as you do - I buy my beans from SweetMarias, 12 lbs at a time which allows for $9 USPS shipping (3 days from CA to NH).

Hope this helps,
Marc

Google green coffee beans. I remember seeing one site that provided free shipping for orders of 25lbs. and up.

Well, I haven't been here for a couple years--looks like the ME section is still pretty dead.

I am coming through Vermont in a week or so and lasting a week or so.
Londonberry, Dorset, and Burlington are cities I expect to be in.

PM me this week if you would like to meet. I will have some coffee I have roasted, some brewing equipment and a bunch of stoves. A classic camp stove collectors meet is in my calendar.

???? The link you show is for brewing beer and wine. Nothing that I see about anything related to coffee. Shock
