Chad, I'm glad to see tasty Ethiopian coffee back on the market. I have four different ones this fall. Of them, yours was not the most expensive, but definitely the best. Thanks, and if you decide to get more of this bean, I'm definitely IN. |

Chad, I finally brewed from my first roast of your Ethiopians. Outstanding, being somewhat new to this I think I understand the blueberry thing. Thanks again Mark |

Thanks again Mark It's a little elusive... often takes the form of a 'high' berry or an aromatic illusion of a flavor. Yum. CHAD Roaster: CoffeeAir II 2# DIY air roaster

I agree it's a good coffee. I can get the blueberry smell - but no blueberry taste yet. I have two small batches waiting for a taste tomorrow. What sort of roast profile are you all using? John |

Very roughly: dump to 300 5 minutes 300 to 390 5 minutes 390 to 400 1 minute boost the heat 400 to 410 1 minute- level off and control that heat!!! 410 to 425 4 S_T_R_E_T_C_H minutes if you can do it! Yes, I know this is no kind of useful format for anyone... I don't have my numbers with me. CHAD Edited by seedlings on 12/20/2011 3:29 PM Roaster: CoffeeAir II 2# DIY air roaster

Chad, Thanks for the profile information. I'll experiment with it some more. I've been testing much faster to 300 times. I'm not sure I can get this much precision around the 390 - 410 range. I'm popper roasting with separate fan and heat controls. I'll give it a try tonight. When is does the flavor peak - how much rest after roasting? John |

Next morning is great. Then 2 mornings later. The reason I highlighted the time before and during first crack... This is a fairly slow pace, and the beans will need some more energy going into first crack. CHAD Roaster: CoffeeAir II 2# DIY air roaster
