Currently I have my Hottop P2 stripped down because it will not fire up. I have had a similar problem over years & invariably found the problem related to the one way connection through the rear cover to the main fan. Wires here must be absolutely pushed into the connector for contact. This time it was not so simple. With the connection firm it would still not fire up so I am suspecting either the bean cooler fan or the bean agitator motor as these all seem to be inter related. I have removed the small fan & the motor & tomorrow (Monday) I will take them into a local computer shop to be checked out. If one or other has failed I will order replacements from Taiwan. Am I correct in thinking that if any of the 3 pieces of kit I mentioned fails or has a loose connection the Hottop will not 'fire up' with no red LED alight on the main mother board. Would appreciate some advice. Ron

I could very well be your board, they are like 150 bucks. I have one in the basement, HT that is, that needs a new board and I cannot decide if I want to fix it, sell it or use it for parts. where are you ordering your pats from, Taiwan? got an address and will they sell directly to you. thanks in advance, ginny ![]() |

I bought my Machine & order all my spares from Hottop Taiwan. The only source for the UK. Shelly is very helpful & visits UK on a regular basis. The only thing I don't like is that all prices are exact ?s for $s, thus $150 US is ?150 UK. instead of circa ?95 at current rate of exchange Have to live with that. Her contact email is: Shelly Chiang <[email protected]> Interesting you think it might be the board. I'll know a bit more after I get the parts checked out tomorrow. Ron

Hottop USA refuses to sell anything outside the US. I've tried so many times.

Since you live in the UK, I am assuming you have a 220V Hottop. Hottop USA probably only has parts for the 110V roaster. It doesn't explain the price disparity, but does explain their reluctance to sell. (In addition to contracts that could have defined sales territories.) |

Quote JimH wrote: (In addition to contracts that could have defined sales territories.) Thats the reason for sure. Voltage differences are not involved with many of the spare parts . Ron

No lights at all, not even a brief blink? Some fans have a Tach signal that let the processor know if the fan is running and what speed. Another thing that would stop everything is a safety interlock switch some where. Something that keeps the roaster from operating with access doors open etc. I am not familiar with the Hottop but fixed a few IRoast II machines. I hope you find the trouble after checking the parts. --Jack |

Been back in business for 3 days now. Yea it was the bean cooling fan which in turn blew something on the main board. Now repaired & the fan replaced. Ron

No - I took the board out & sent it special delivery to a recommended electronics engineer in London who returned it fixed the next day. No idea what he did but it just works, thank goodness. Ron
