The world of coffee can be a confusing and intimidating place, especially if you don’t know the language. Here are some basic coffee terms and language you can use to communicate with your barista or fellow coffee roaster. The types of drinks, how to order and a glossary of terms commonly used when tasting and describing coffee will be included in this forum. This forum will include terms and words that you may or may not know; the list will help you as you move around the forums. We are going to break the information down for easier access. Clearly there will be overlap of words and words that you may not agree with by definition. If you feel a huge error has been made simply send me a PM. Thanks in advance, ginny ![]() Reference material is from multiple sources on the internet with main source material from: Jason at Coffee Review http://www.coffeereview.com/ A Guide to Buying, Brewing & Enjoying; Espresso: Ultimate Coffee; and Home Coffee Roasting: Romance & Revival. If you have some words and terms you would like included please PM an administrator. Edited by ginny on 03/11/2013 4:28 PM |
