Hi all, I've got a chemex, chemex paper, and a latest version kone. I much prefer the latter. It has a small solid disk at the bottom instead of a point, good reinforcement at the upper ring edge, and it brews beautifully. I read the old thread with Bob's positive comments. Gotta say that this method provides more body than the paper. I grind to medium-course, which works great for me and use 45 grams coffee to 26 ounces water, prorated for smaller amounts. Just curious if there are any more Kone users out there. BTW, the Kone demands care and attention to get the pour and timing right, so that's an added plus in my book. Michael |
