I didn't see an Ambex thread, if its there and I missed it please direct me. I have a new YM-2 and have been talking with Ambex but the answers I am getting seem not to line up with what I am experiencing. When received, the air flow lever was pointing down (vertical). Ambex says when in this state, 100% of air is directed through drum. When lever is horizontal, pointing toward cooling tray, air flow is 30% to drum and 70% to cooling tray. But..when I listen to the air and place my hand over the exhaust vent, the air flow coming through the machine appears to be opposite of this. What am I missing? If Vertical, wouldn't I be hearing more air and feeling more exhaust air if its at 100%? Brian King

Brian, I see there are some videos on Youtube about this roaster. Perhaps you might find helpful clues in one of them? ciel Ciel... seeking Heaven in my cup with ................................................................................................................. Ciel, Thank you I will look. I did get the manufacturer on the phone today and figured it out. It makes sense how they engineered it for air flow. I can perhaps write a thread on it later for others to gleen from.

This was resolved. Answer: Ambex air flow lever has two settings. When vertical, 100% of airflow goes through drum. Note however that they channel some of the air back out and around the machine when vented, therefore if you place your hand over the exhaust vent it can appear there is less than 100% air. I have tested this and it is true, 100% air does go through drum. Setting two is when the lever is horizontal. When in this setting, ~30% air goes through drum and 70% through cooling tray. You can move the lever between these two to get a ~50/50% split.
