Is there any way to output the built-in 2K probe to a PC?

I'm guessing the answer's not without an engineering degree but, it looks to me like it would come pretty close to being in the bean mass and possibly, "good enough" for my purposes.

I'd love to be able to use it directly for temp logging and not have to enter the temps manually.

PS: I know I can put a BT probe in through the chute, but I'm looking for a sleeker alternative that doesn't require drilling into my brand new Hottop.

The probe addition doesn't require drilling into the new HT.
A replacement chute is made with holes so the probe goes through it, and the original chute is still new.
It is somewhere on this site.

I meant I didn't want to drill for the non-chute version...
Maybe I'll do the chute thing after all.

I have a digital thermometer that takes 2 K type probes but it doesn't output to USB.

I saw a K to USB device on Amazon for $25, should that work with the right kind of K type probe and RoastLogger?
Looks like it should...

I can't help you there.

I would not recommend it unless you know someone who made it working with your favourite logging program. You should rather go with something from the list of the supported devices.
