Using a legacy arduino package v1.05 I was able to install aArtisan sketch 3.0 found here: https://code.goog...c4-shield/ I believe I am not running 3.0 as the baud rate of 115200 must be changed to 19200 in both the artisan program and during operations within the arduino program. Also, I cannot get the fan to operate with the preferred command "DCFAN" but I can get it to operate with "IO3". Jim G states this is not ideal here(post #19): http://forum.home...rowstart=0 Post #12 states this issue is when using a sketch below 2.0. which is why I am confused on what version I truely have compiled. Which aArtisan file should I be using? The latest are above 3.0 and include PID data. I cannot successfully compile any of them. Should that be the case since I am not using a PID controller or should they still load? Should I stick with the 3.0 I installed? also within arduino, I was using the command chan,1234 as told in a how to guide, then read. In the above thread it stated chan,1200 then read. I am unsure what it is reading as chan,1234 on the last two channels as I only have channel 1 and 2 used. I thought I had it all going well until I saw IO3 command is NOT RECOMMENDED?!? What issues will I encounter if I use IO3? My first roast was with DCFAN, which was the first roast I ever used that I could not use the fan (sigh) so atleast I have the fan running now. Thanks for any help, -Cassidy Edited by ginny on 06/11/2015 12:07 PM |

Apologies on the double post. I thought I was editing post 1 when infact I just shortened it and reposted. Problem has been solved once Jim G told me 1152000 should be working. Issue was the software was preloaded, but I was following a how to guide that stated to load aartisan sketch 2.0 rather than the 3.1 beta that was on there. I compiled/verified and uploaded 2.0, but every subsequent time I tried a later version, I forgot to upload, therefore was never actually finishing out the process. All is well and happy as a clam. |
