Thanks for the addition to the group. Seriously considering building a drum roaster along the lines of oldgrumpus's. Love the design and craftsmanship.

Quest Fan Control and Wiring in General
Nunas
The instructions for the Quest M3 mention calibrating the fan control, so as to know where the lowest speed is. If I understand correctly, from full CCW through some of the control's rotation the fan does not run, then it begins to run at some point as the control is turned more CW. The fan on my M3 always turns. At no point of rotation of the control does it stop. Of course, as I turn it CW, it runs faster. Does anyone know anything about this? Did the original M3s act differently than the newer ones in this regard? Mine is a 2013 build.

While I realise I can stop the air flow by opening the cooling door, I'd like to have a position where the fan is off and can probably do this by changing the potentiometer for one with an integral on/off switch, or by changing a component in the controller. I'd rather not reinvent the wheel, but the one thing I've not seen is a wiring diagram. Does anyone have one to share? Failing an official diagram, has anyone taken their Quest apart and drawn one? A decent diagram might come in handy down the road if something goes wrong.

I took my M3 (2013 model, 120-Volt) apart and traced the wiring. Please PM me if anyone sees any errors.
