Hello all, I am new to this forum , joined here because I wanted some advice on a matter. I am planning to start a cafe of my own. Even though I do not have sufficient funds, I am taking a mortgage for self employed , and then setting up my business. It?s going to be a cafe specialising in different types of coffee. I have done some research online, and have got a basic idea about it. There are different equipments for this right, and different types of roasters.I am planning to get one for my cafe and wanted to know more on this. What would be good for a startup ? This has been my dream, but now when dream is turning into reality, I am pretty nervous. Moreover, since I am taking a mortgage, things has to be right, otherwise if my cafe is under loss, I would not be able to pay off, and this can cause a huge problem. So please advice me guys. What are the tips and things to be kept in mind while starting a cafe ?? Looking forward to your valuable replies. Edited by JackH on 06/27/2018 4:21 PM |

Do your research, then do more research to make sure you know your target base. It's ok to start small. It's better for you to tell a customer you will order what they want and bend over backwards to get it to them instead of throwing old product away. Always choose quality or price. Customers are willing to pay for quality products, not cheap stuff. Demand fresh product from your suppliers Use local ingredients. Then make sure your customers know you use those products that support the community. Donate product to charity events and fundraisers. When you give back, it pays back with free advertising. Finally, serve products that YOU like, so you can show your passion about the food and drink you sell. False passion is easy to spot. |
