I just found that the Dukes mayonnaise jar I got at the grocery store fits the Hario. No need to carry the glass when traveling or backpacking. --------------

Yes and yes. Plastic to eliminate the breaking of the glass when hiking, and it is the Skerton. It worked on a weekend hammock hanging adventure into the forest. --------------
