Where do you guys find perforated tubes for your drum or are you rolling your own sheets to make the drum? Thanks Edited by Thirstyboots on 04/27/2018 11:01 PM |

Some ideas here. I would spend some time on kitchen equipment/supplies sites. Unfortunately, companies selling perforated metal filters are asking very high prices Rolling your own can be done if you know someone working in a sheet metal shop who is willing to do a one-off small job at a decent rate. http://www.kitche...-65115.htm https://www.amazo...rd_w=yIhJT https://www.webst...gLcofD_BwE Allen 1/2 lb and 1 lb drum, Siemens Sirocco fluidbed, presspot, chemex, cajun biggin brewer from the backwoods of Louisiana

Please be aware that these drums posted above does not make a machine using them a real drum roaster, rather a hot air roaster with mechanical agitation. You will never be able to reproduce a charging or airflow behaviour as in a real drum roaster, as those specially built with this design in mind. However, you can obtain good results with such a roaster, just not waste time (and beans) trying to reproduce others routine. Roasters: DIY: TO based IR 640g
