I have a sunbeam machine that i'd like to rewire. It has a 120v motor and off board capacitor as pictured. There are three wires coming from the motor, red, white and black and two wires coming from the capacitor of red and black. I have attached a picture of the motor and wires. I've also attached a PDF of what I believe to be a correct diagram of a rewire with a switch. Can someone please confirm? I used the color green in the diagram to represent the white wire coming out of the motor. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately there no color code standards for the motors. You will have to trace where the wires go on the circuit board. One of the wires should connect to the capacitor. That is a starter winding in the motor. This thread may be of some help: https://forum.hom...ead_id=528 ---Jack
