Hello I am starting to collect what I will need to build a Fluid bed roaster I started with this glass and will design and build around it. Pillar Candles- Glass Chimney Open-End Height 10" Diameter 4" - for Candle Open Ended - Clear Glass Cylinder Vase- (Multiple Specifications) by Supcia Dimensions: This piece of pillar candles is perfect for up to a 4" wide candle. Practical & Convenient: Clear glass and multi-process effects finished make good performance. Not only clear glass shade but also decoration for your house. Not Easy to Break: The glass is very thick and bright,anti-fire and ironing, clear glass cylinder vase quality assurance, good packaging, rugged and durable. I am wondering what I should be looking for for heat elements as well as blower any suggestions? thank you Rob |

Oh, I see now what you are referring to as "candle chimneys" that you asked about in your post here: https://forum.hom...post_68378 I mistakenly thought candle chimneys and oil lamp chimneys were one and the same. I haven't yet built a roaster from scratch, but one of the considerations for your build and getting some input is how many pounds or grams that you would like to roast. Also, are you interested in using gas or electric? These considerations will help you to get input from the more experienced members here. I would like to build a small roaster a little bigger then the SR500 something to tinker with already purchased my blower and candle chimney just waiting on the chimney to be delivered. My roaster will be loosely based on the Transparent Fluid Bed Design not quite as complicated using more off the shelf items. I really like the heat chamber design easy but looks like it works well still have a lot of questions but I will start with the physical design first then worry about getting it to work. |

Just a single element---versus the double element as CK made in his build (https://forum.hom...rowstart=0). I was planning on just using the element out of a popper and removing the coil from it and winding my own thicker element and re-riveting it together.
