I can't say anything about failure rate on the roasters, not sure anyone can, but parts are kinda pricey.

Any idea how it happened? Any warnings? My HT kinda makes a pop every now and then. Just wondering if I am going to be needing a new motor/gearbox soon myself. When you get to the repair, it would be awesome if you could post what you found the problem to be. I'd prob breakdown the gearbox and replace gears and keep it as backup. At least I'd give it a try.
