Preferred Green Bean Charge Amount
CK
The first in a series of polls looking for long term feedback on what a typical home roaster would prefer for a green bean charge size on a hobbyist fluid bed roaster. There's no right or wrong, just individual preferences.

There's no right or wrong, just existing hardware capabilities.
There are specific quantities niches that simply cant't be covered by existing popular tubes used as roast chambers, and also blowers.

Also, practice impose roasting batches as subdivisions of the green beans bag: 250, 333 grams, or the imperial equivalent subdivisions of pound, instead other apparently more logical criteria, as weekly consumption or so...
So, I would vote 300 grams above, the closest to my weekly routine, but this choice will leave me aside 100 grams per each bag of one kg, every three roasts. So for me the right answer is 333 g.

Just a morning rant, while drinking my coffee Grin

Renatoa, you're correct in saying "existing capabilities." Therein lies the beauty of innovation towards something novel and undiscovered. Let's push the limits and look for an improved way of home roasting with the limitations of a household circuit.

Thanks for the feedback on this thread.

When I wrote the above assumed DIY builds, if we are talking about a manufactured product, so custom machined parts, then... do we have enough quotes in Start Trek for this case ? Grin
