Newbie Posts: 3 Joined: November 10, 2019	My first roaster was a popper, like many here. I bought it at a local thrift store for 4.99 USD, and promptly fell down the rabbit hole. A month later, I had a dimmer switch installed in the heating circuit to allow for a longer warm-up phase before FC, as well as in-chamber cooling! Sadly, as is the case for many popcorn poppers that are called to a higher purpose, my first roaster wore out within two years. The heating element broke (and was repaired) twice, then the fan motor got weaker and weaker until it finally gave out. So, I went looking to the thrift store again, but couldn't find another to replace it... and ended up "borrowing" the popper my in-laws got for a wedding present in the 80s! That was about 6 months ago, and it's still going strong. ShelfieSchtick attached the following image:
