Currently my drip/pourover grinder is an old Solis (precursor to Baratza) and it's been a real workhorse for me over the years -- for espresso I've got a Gaggia MDF which has serviced me espresso needs fine. My wife said I could buy a new grinder so I'm in the market!

I've looked at the Baratza Sette and Rancilio Rocky for dual purpose needs at the house. Any new grinders or really solid recommendations from the community?!?!?!

I'm not too sure how this grinder is viewed in these forums (from what I gather people either love it or hate it lol), but for the price point it's tough to beat the Niche Zero for a great dual purpose grinder. Also quite nice if you find yourself doing a lot of single dosing.
I've heard about it stalling on very light roasts - but I'm not sure how common this issue is. I usually stick to medium or medium-dark and I have not had issues with stalling.

I am a manual fan, so my choice is obvious the Kinu, especially being manufactured in our country, and a collective design effort of our local coffee forum.
If you consider a manual grinder choice, is hard to beat it at the price point, general consensus is here that there is no electric grinder delivering better than Kinu at its price.

From my forum fellows I also endorse Niche Zero as a good choice, but Sette 270, at half price versus Niche Zero, is here the next most used grinder.

I recently got the Breville Smart Grinder Pro, and I can't say anything bad about it except the container they give you to catch the grinds. I always end up putting my own container or SS filter below the chute. I also got it for $120 - Christmas find. Once I got used to it for my uses, it became easy and relatively quiet. Not sure about longevity yet - all those electronics, buttons, and dials will hopefully last several years.

I also have some Japanese Manual Hand Crank - name escapes me. I have transitioned to the Breville unless first cup after a roast.

Our Niche is on it's way. Looking forward to this Will be used exclusively for single dose pour overs.
