Heat gun element
dstedman
I often see users here using heat gun elements in their fluid-bed roaster designs. I personally have not had success with that, when I installed it into mine, my roast times were 30 mins without even browning the beans (200g). Was I wiring something wrong perhaps? I feel like it should have worked a little better.

What other electric element can I buy to fit in a small tube space? My current setup uses a large dryer heating element in a stovepipe segment but I want to go smaller so more air passes through the coils.

One 1800-2000 Watt heat gun element is probably ideal for a 200g-300g fluid bed roaster. I would reassess your airflow rate, bean circulation and wiring. The heat gun elements often contain multiple elements.
