Dryer Heaters
Husamka
Hi, Anyone tried these Dryer Heaters for fluid bed roaster 240V or can advise. To be with vacuum motor and reducer to 2" or 1.5" for the size of 700 gr roaster.
The Prose, they are good quality from a reputed company with years' life span, just similar to the dryer in your house which you forget about them. and the cons is the size of the housing which they need, Of course, this housing with heat insulation. They work with 240V for 5400 Watt and if with this voltage regulator, it can be reduced. with this quality, they are definitely made from Kanthal, not like these cheap heat gun heaters.
I used this voltage regulator in series after SSR-TC4 to control the maximum wattage for the circuit breaker.

I've incorporated that last dryer heater in my new build. I've installed a dedicated circuit in the garage to take advantage of the increased capacity. However, my Arduino/TC4/ZCD setup isn't set up properly yet so I haven't been able to test it.

I have it housed in a large electrical conduit junction box surrounded by ceramic insulation

What voltage regulator are you referring to?

Husamka
I have the first voltage regulator. and you can test your heater if you have a voltage regulator alone.
Also, we can set a limit to the heater percentage in Artisan for instance 65% so the power goes maximum 3500 watts so no need for the regulator ( I didn't try this yet).
If possible it will be useful to learn from photos inside your box or any details.
The last one to the right looks slimmer which is better but these two with cylindrical housing looks need only proper reducers.
