Exhaust Ventilation
sacoffees
I purchased a 3lb Buckeye and can't seem to find a flex exhaust duct that works for 500 degrees. Do you guys mind sharing what you use?

I am using such "flexible metal conduit" for mine:

www.amazon.com/Electriduct-Liquid-Tight-Galvanized-Flexible-Metallic/dp/B07DX71842/

The plastic coating could or not be suitable for your temperature range, but you can peel and replace with high temperature kapton tape.
Diameter also could be or not available for your needs, but this is the only such tubing that exists, known on our markets.

Thanks renatoa, I'm just wondering if I use flex duct now that's made for a dryer and it has not caught on fire during the first or 2nd crack then wouldn't it be suitable for the more advanced gas roaster?

Without knowing exactly the components of that flex duct, or the original working regime (the dryer output temperature) no idea if someone can speculate something.
The fact that it performed ok in a smaller roaster tells little about its capabilities... with less cfm to exhaust, means faster air cooling along the conduit, less thermal stress.
With larger volumes of the bigger roaster that tube can be pushed to its limits.
