Another heat gun bread machine roaster
zamunda
Hello,

Happy New Year to you all!

This weekend I made a basic roaster from a breadmachine/heatgun. I am based in Costa Rica for some months and brought these from Europe. Added a chaff collector from my popupcorn roaster which works fine though a lot of the chaff ends up at the bottom of the bread machine.

I bought the coffee here at a local market, it's called "Café Caracolillo, miel" (honey).

Today I tasted the first cups and was very pleased with the result.

Let me know what you think!

Regards

Nice, never seen such smart usage of two tin baking trays, matched in reverse position, as the cover for BM...
Bookmarked in my brilliant ideas short list Grin

Hello,

Update on this set-up: since we bought a new machine here for bread making, this old "Kenwood" can be used for dedicated coffee roasting and so I can start "modding" it. The first annoying feature of this machine is that the "dough"-making program which i used for roasting gets disabled after every batch since the internal temperature gets too high although I do not use the built-in heating element.

What is the easiest way of disabling this feature so I do not have to wait between batches the machines gets cooled down?

Thanks and regards!

Should start with locating the thermostat, or the temperature sensor...
