SR500 won't turn on

No display or motor noise, my SR500 seems to be completely dead. I've tried plugging into several different outlets. Is there a fuse or thermal overload protector inside? I'm pretty handy at repairing things, but I'm wondering if there is anything in particular I should check first.

There is a fuse and a thermal overload device, but neither of those is my problem, still nothing obvious yet. There is a sr500 teardown series at roastgeek.com. You can google for it at that site.
