Making inexpensive degassing glass jars

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share my method for making degassing jars. I like using mason jars. It’s basically just adding a degassing valve to a metal lid. The valves were $6 for 20 on amazon. All the parts are in the video description. I struggled with getting a clean round hole the right size for the valves but finally found a good method using an inexpensive 16mm hole punch. I have not tried a 16mm step drill bit yet which may leave a sufficient hole.
