Thanks for the info on the AeroPress.

Experiment results: Poured enough into the French Press to allow it to bloom, waited 45 seconds, then poured in the rest of the water. Let brew for 5 minutes, stirred, and let brew 2 more minutes. Then pressed and poured.

Results: On the bitterness, it was almost the same. Just a little bit more bitter, but nothing to complain about. But, the brightness was not as intense as the Chemex.

On a second note, I chilled some of the French Pressed, and drank it a few hours later and it was very tasty. Even though it was a little bitter, the roasty flavors came out nicely.
