Ok.... so I brewed my first cup of Uganda Bagisu this morning. To me, it seems very "middle of the road". It's a great cup but nothing jumps out at me or my taste buds. I would call this a very "safe" coffee tht I would certainly serve to company and know they wouldn't get a funny look on their face. Yes.... a few people really couldn't appreciate the Harrar lot 30! I am thinking this will make a great Christmas gift coffee because is it so smooth and mild. I'll see what my wife thought of it when she gets home from work tonight. c:3 |

It is indeed a safe coffee to serve to friends as well as a safe coffee to roast, as it is tasty across a wide range of roast levels. I don't know to what degree of roast you took it this time. But, if you really want to know what the Bugisu Buzz is all about, you owe it to yourself to try it out at several roast levels. Also, you can try roasting it quickly or slowly along the way. Don't forget to try it after different resting periods. You might find that it tastes pretty good for a day, :) then "sulks" for a couple of days, s:7 and then comes booming back on the fourth and fifth day. YMMV, and that's a big part of the fun! Enjoy!! :B) ;) |

The Uganda Bugisu crop of 2005 was incredible!!! It was "knock you over the head with a 2x4" chocolate. My favorite of 4 years of home roasting |
