Hey everybody, I got the roasting bug and want to put together a small roaster for personal use. Did some research and just want to make sure I'm headed in the right direction. Shooting for around SR800 performance. The plan is a 1500ish watt heat gun element, 6.5 kpa blower, router speed control for temperature, and sanitary fittings for a roasting chamber. I put together a quick drawing showing my basic intention, see attached. Here's the blower I'm planning on using, I believe 6.5 kpa of pressure should get good bean agitation. https://www.amazo...9R62?psc=1 I'm also planning on adding a thermocouple and screen or a basic temperature readout. Should I measure temperature at the heat source or in the beans? I also plan to add some sort of chaff collection system on the top similar to the SR, but haven't had a chance to plan it out quite yet. I appreciate everybody's help and look forward to your feedback.
