I saw that last week on kickstarter ad was kind of floored how much over their goal their project went. I did not know that there was that much of a demand for cold brewed coffee. I am not a fan of cold brewed coffee and was quite surprised. How do these projects generate so much interest? Any insight? Hi: Well cold brew is very big on the West Coast, particularly in California. They made huge smash on Kickstarter I agree and one point I will make is that the price point of their cold brewer is reasonable. Many of the coffee/tea/other drink devices you see are in the hundreds of dollar price point. These guys know their market; they knew what to do when they finally developed their product. Hats of to them. Part is a cult thing out here in the West... Len I think you would be very surprised at the popularity of cold brew in general; more and more I see ads for cold brewers, people talking about siphon cold brew, toddy is selling more and more on Amazon. ginny |

I have read that not all roasts/beans work well with cold brew. I don't remember where I read it, 'TMI' this last week. I recently did a Japanese iced pour-over with light roasted PNG. That was delicious. Ken in NC --------------
