For the past few weeks the edit option has been gone. SO.... Once you post, you are locked out of editing things like a forgotten live link on text, misspellings, etc. Can this be re-enabled. I'm not talking about it going away after time, it is not there to begin with Mick - "Drinking in life one cup at a time"

We decided the edit feature was way overrated and non-essential so we tossed it to the recycle bin. Actually, ginny is hard at work trying to figure out what the heck happened with the thing and should have it back up asap! In the mean time, you guys/gals need to pester us admins to edit any boo boos or needed changes till it's fixed. Mod Answer The site has been set up to have an EDIT function for a 15 minute period Thereafter if one needs to edit you need to ask a moderator to perform that edit for you Unless something has gone wrong with HRO software, the above may still apply when everything is working again KK I home roast and I like it. It's been like this for a couple weeks. the previous post I made in the new K+ model hottop roaster thread where I pointed this out has been removed :( If you can find that deleted post you will know how long the edit has been disabled. Mick - "Drinking in life one cup at a time"

OK, here is the deal. there is/was an issue with edit. I think I have fixed it so I will put it back for the 15-minute limit later today. this all started when I received multiple emails and PM's that there was still more links that could not be used - sure members can copy and paste, but they want live links. all pointed to your post Turtle. I looked, made the link live and went on my merry way not seeing that you had made a second post and made the link live. my bad. I DISABLED ALL EDIT FUNCTION, PERIOD ON THAT VERY DAY - THE 17th of this month - that was six days ago... I did that as I was concerned that there may be an edit issue that needed to be fixed. I NOTED IT IN THE SHOUTBOX as no one reads the memos from admins or the news items about these issues. Turtle your initial post was deleted by me before I realized you added a second post with the advised LIVE LINK. there was no reason for two posts one without a live link and one with a live link. Turtle you could have easily sent me an email or a PM about this issue as a few other members had and I would have explained to you that I disabled the edit to make sure we did not have some breach that would compromise members. we did not as we do have multiple programs in place to prevent our members from being hacked. thank you for bringing this up and if you need further information about this issue or another just post away or send me an email or PM... ginny Edited by ginny on 05/23/2015 3:45 PM |

Quote There is NO edit what so ever If I can find where I saved the screen capture video you can see for yourself you are correct and if you look at the date today, the date of your concern about this and the follow up from admins - we are on top of everything, everyday. if we have a member who has an issue we deal with it ASAP. if you lose a screen capture I have all in backup - there is a 78 page form to fill out for that... ginny Edited by ginny on 05/23/2015 3:17 PM |
