My Final Build....
ChicagoJohn
I am not an electrical engineer. I have no basis for expertise in this area. I am only reporting what I have done and what my results have been.

If you decided to try modifying any electrical appliance, you need to understand that you are assuming the liability for anything you do.

The same applies here. I assume no responsibility for your decisions and actions.

This is what I have done. First, a reference to a video and then some supporting documentation

Nice, professional-looking, video! But I could never keep up with the
coffee demand at our house 91 grams at a time. Any plans for a bigger unit?

Thanks for your comments. My first and probably only video. No plans for anything bigger. I only drink two cups a day and the wife makes her own CharBucks Espresso. smile

Thanks again

Thought I'd post an update. I've been doing up to six consecutive 91 gm roasts at a time with no issues for either the passive chaff collector or the case temperature of the 50VA 24VAC transformer that after rectification to DC, powers the blower motor. It reaches an equilibrium, steady-state temperature of 67C, well below the maximum rated case temperature. This applies to the Honeywell model only; other transformers rated a 50FA may perform (differently.) I'm not seeing any meaningful deterioration in bean motion from roast 1 to roast 6, and no further air clogging problems after installing a 1-layer cheesecloth filter over all air inlets in the base to prevent any stray chaff from entering the blower chamber.
