I use the Virtuoso for coffee and have no complaints with it. I've looked at the Sette simply because it seems to be more suited for single cup grinds and 99% of the time, that's all I grind. The bulk of the coffee I drink is from a AeroPress. Other than difference in style, I doubt there would be much of a difference in grind quality, so I would base it one what you will be using if for. If you are wanting one for Espresso, I have much better grinders for that and have never tried mine for that, so can't comment on it. |

I've got an Encore and a Vario. The Vario is something like 4x times the price and not even remotely 4x as good (I'm actually thinking of getting rid of it). My advice would be to get the Virtuoso. Once you start paying upward of 300 for a grinder you're getting into the area of diminishing returns. For whatever it's worth, the Lido 3 is the best grinder I own. |

What are you grinding for? Drip? Pour over? Vacuum? Press? Moka pot? Espresso? . Mick - "Drinking in life one cup at a time"

Look at the Baratza Preciso.

If you want one grinder for 2 completely different tasks... Preciso (as suggested above) OR Vario with ceramic burrs.' Either of these should provide an acceptable grind for very fine and coarse. Mick - "Drinking in life one cup at a time"
