ROC Grinder Fail
Ozo
I got the latest version ROC grinder but it would not quite grind for espresso from my Rancilio silvia. Sending it back and ordering the Baratza Sette 30. I know that some of these mills will do ok but some not so much.

The tech guy at WLL was funny. He said "Ok, what is most likely the problem here is actually the machine working in tandem with the grinder. Silvia's require a more advanced grinder to work with, or you would need to do a lot of tweaking and testing to get a grinder like the ROK Manual to work well with it." He was sure that since the grinder was working that there could be no free shipping unless I ordered another grinder. Ok with me.

I have decided to keep the ROK for backup during power outages as It is Aeropress for those times not espresso.

I personally have found ROC grinder to be pretty decent and consistent. But your right about getting a higher quality grinder for rancilio silvia.
