Roaster build forced air and agitator
korryh
Started with a flour sifter, heat gun and drill. Then I moved to an independent speed controlled motor and heat gun. I used this for a few months then got antsy to see if I could use a micro controller to control the time and temperature. There were more components involved than I thought but worth it.

Hi Korry and happy Thanksgiving

Very nice proof of concept V2! You've got great bean movement and great looking build. How's the roasts cupping?
1/2 lb and 1 lb drum, Siemens Sirocco fluidbed, presspot, chemex, cajun biggin brewer from the backwoods of Louisiana

Nice setup. I like the creative use of copper for all the supports and hinges. It's a favorite metal choice on my builds too. Looking forward to seeing how your campaign goes...ThumbsUp

... from the kickstarter project linked above... on the bottom of the roaster, anyone is able to figure what hot air generator is that, in such small volume ?

If you think is just a computer generated widget, it can be seen as real thing in the pictures/video from project.

At first I thought it was a modified conduit junction box of some sort similar to this...

But on further research found his detailed build page that describes it has a custom cast part from a 3d printed mold.
