Upgraded HotTop changes everything

Hi All,

My wife Betsy and I have been roasting for over 14 years on our very basic HotTop KN-8828D, using the stock profile. It recently started ejecting the beans early and we realized it was time for a major clean and overhaul. The folks at HotTop convinced us to upgrade to the 8828B panel and electronics, the K thermocouple, and the higher power heating element.

It's a joy to use the shining new machine but it became apparent very quickly that the automatic profile was something we were going to have to modify and we're now learning to roast all over again. We look forward to researching through the past posts and look forward to any help the community may be able to give us with profile development.
