Adding a ventilation to the Quest M6
zamunda
Hello,

I friend of mine has a M6 Quest roaster (https://www.coffeeshrub.com/quest-m6-coffee-roaster.html).
In summer he roasts outside but in wintertime this is done inside a barn and then 2-3 batches develop already quite some smoke which seems not healthy on the long run to work in.

How should a basic venting system set up? Any suggestion?

Thanks and regards!

Already provided with an exhaust outlet, just mount there a duct, like this:

Thank you Renatoa, we'll try that route!

Hello,

This is how I did the mod:

- Removed the grill from the roaster where the smoke gets out
- Took the top of a coctailshaker and squared it a bit in a vise to fit better in the hole
- Fixed it to the roaster with a screw and sealed with some alu tape
- Added a flexible tube with alu tape

That's it!

Did some testing today and the difference is very significant!

Regards!
