Is this the most bizarre way to roast coffee?
oldgrumpus
This method takes several twists and turns that took me by surprise. I'd love to know what y'all think about this!

These methods make mine seem so… well… ordinary. But I’m wondering if they might try adding some spicy fermented black bean paste? I’d try it! Also, their prices seem reasonable! Honestly though, I can’t imagine what these might taste like. 😩

I think starbucks is already using that method now from the way my last attempted cup tasted from them. Shock

Actually, I would be willing to try the concoction and would love to try Nanyang process as well. Believe it or not, I've never had the opportunity to try a correctly brewed turkish coffee and someday I'll have to find a way.

All you need is a dedicate grinder for this task.
Look for Sozen grinders, they are the reference. https://www.sozen...
The powder needed for ibrik/cezve brewing can't be obtained by standard conical/flat burr grinders designed for espresso grinding.
Is like double sieving the fines, with a final 100 microns sieve.
The pattern of such grinder burrs is similar to a mill stone, rolled into a conical shape.
Once you have such fine grounds, the rest is only manual work, easy to learn.

Try what ?
We are at the gates of Levant here, turkish style brewing of coffee was the default until the coffee makers became affordable for any people, not so many years ago...
Still very common, you can find it even in some gas stations, instead espresso machines: https://www.faceb...652471874/
