Colombian Cup of Excellence, Finca San Antonio. Moving older beans out of the stash (like to use by 12 months). I distributed this one, thanks to Cafe Imports. I am not a big Colombian fan but this one is spectacular: http://tinyurl.co... Will top off about 4 roasts of it with a Aama Farm organic Kona: http://aamafarm.com/ Great video to watch (upper right corner) on a woman (Nancy Griffith) who clearly understands the sacredness of her place. I think I'll start with a batch of Bolivia FTO SHG EP Caranavi and Peru FTO San Ignacio Cajamarca each. These are both new to me, so I have some studying to do. Then Guatemala Oriente D-P, Sumatra Blue batak "Tarbarita" Peaberry and Costa Rica COE - Santa Lucia. That ought to keep me happy for a week or so... The A'ama video is indeed a nice watch. Thanks for sharing that, B|J. John Respect the bean.

No surprise here. I'm doing my big-bag coffees: a rough but tasty PNG Yha Hauka FTO and a surprisingly full-flavored Mexican Chiapas decaf Royal Select WP FTO. But happily I'm also still working off a small bag of historic/folkloric Yemen Ismali given me by a generous member over on GCC. Wild and wonderful!

BJ: Great video of Nancy Griffith, great story about A'ama coffee and her early efforts to clear out the tangle exposing the old coffee trees. Back when coffee was selling for 3-9 cents per pound! I guess we all dream there are other places in the world waiting for such discovery. It is amazing that there are 700 small producers who are her neighbors. Would be great to hear 700 stories! g |

Last nite: Nicaraguan Limoncillo Pacamara (DP). Good Lord, these beans are huge! Monsoon Malabar size! Unroasted beans had a wonderfully fruity aroma. Very pungent aroma this morning, although not fruity like it smelled green. First sample will be in the morning(3/19).... |

CHAD, how did it turn out? Curious minds want to know! Do tell, do tell. First thing tomorrow morning will be a wide variety: Australian Mountain Top Estate XF Costa Rica Brumas Dry-Process El Salvador Orange Bourbon Cultivar Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Konga Monsooned Malabar "Elephant" Sumatra Organic Gayo Mountain Special Yemen Mokha Sharasi All for me, too. YUM! The hard part will be deciding which one for roast number 500... Maybe the Aussi since it's the last batch in m stash... John Respect the bean.
